There's many factors in developing a genuine Rogheff Diamond Willow Hiking Staff.  How fancy do you want the staff?  What size?  What embelishments do you want carved or added to the staff?  Most importantly - how many diamonds do you want? 

A staff with 2 diamonds may take a mere 1 hour to skin and sand.  While a staff with 20 diamonds or a staff that has continuous, merging diamonds may take all day to skin and sand.  The price is going to vary depending on what you want your staff to look like.  We'll fine tune the details via email. 

Base price of a Diamond Willow staff  will give you a simple Diamond Willow staff with at least 2 diamonds, a rubber  anti-skid tip and a leather strap.  The staff will have 2 coats of polyurethane.

Crazy curves on the shaft may or may not add to the cost.  Sometimes curves make a staff easier to carve, sometimes it's harder to carve them.

Toppers, faces and figures will cost extra depending on the time it takes to carve them.

The average price for a decent carved stick generally runs around $130. 

Shipping is extra and varies by the size of the staff.  You can also arrange to pick up your staff in southeastern Wisconsin.

Ready Made Sticks

I have a wide assortment of pre-finished sticks.  I have all different sizes, shapes and types of wood.  Look for them in the Finished Staffs For Sale section.  I can customize any of these staffs for an additional fee.

Creating a staff from a stick you provide

Can we do this?  Sure, it just takes some coordination.  Do you have a favorite walking stick that you'd like to have customized?  Great, send me an email. 

Stick height and where to put the grip:

Most of my well-balanced sticks are eye-level.  The grip is always measured when I hold my stick-holding upper arm flush to my body then raise my hand so it's perpendicular to my body.  You can test this theory by going for a little walk holding a broom handle.  Measure the height at which you're holding the handle.

Payment Terms

After we figure out how you want your staff to look, I require a 50% down payment.  I'll carve it, when I'm finished, I'll email you a photo of the finished product, then ask you fo send a check for the balance.  Once I have that, then I'll ship it.
